  • Forged rings, discs and hubs machined to your drawing

Typical applications

  • Rotary kilns, calciner internals and furnace rollers
  • Glass and ceramic furnace components
  • Catalytic converter and thermal oxidiser internals
  • Radiant tubes and burner nozzles above 1100 °C

Welding, forming and machining

Welding
Weldable with ERNiCr-3 type filler, but joint efficiency and scale performance at extreme temperature should be proven on a qualification coupon before production welding.
Heat treatment
Solution anneal at 1150 - 1200 °C and rapid cool. No precipitation ageing treatment is used.
Hot and cold forming
Hot work in the range stated by the mill for this grade, then re-solution or re-age before final machining so that the delivered condition matches the certificate.
Machining
Machine with sharp carbide or high-speed steel tooling, positive rake, constant feed and ample coolant. Never dwell - the surface work-hardens quickly.

Inconel 602 CA frequently asked questions

What is the chemical composition of Inconel 602 CA?
Inconel 602 CA is supplied to the following composition limits: Nickel (Ni) Balance; Chromium (Cr) 24.0 - 26.0; Aluminium (Al) 1.80 - 2.40; Iron (Fe) 8.0 - 11.0; Carbon (C) 0.15 - 0.25; Titanium (Ti) 0.10 - 0.20; Yttrium (Y) 0.05 - 0.12; Silicon (Si) 0.50 max. Single figures are maximum limits unless shown as a range; the heat analysis on your EN 10204 3.1 certificate is the governing record.
Which specifications cover Inconel 602 CA flanges and pipe fittings?
Forged flanges and forging stock: ASTM B564 / ASME SB-564 (UNS N06025). Butt weld elbows, tees, reducers and caps: ASTM B366 (WP grade to order). Hangbo supplies to these specifications with dimensional compliance to ASME B16.5, B16.47 or B16.9 as applicable.
What is Inconel 602 CA normally used for?
The main uses are rotary kilns, calciner internals and furnace rollers; glass and ceramic furnace components; catalytic converter and thermal oxidiser internals. Buyers pick it where the alternative would be a lower alloyed grade that would not survive the service.
Can Hangbo supply Inconel 602 CA elbows, tees and flanges from stock or to order?
Yes. We forge and machine flanges to ASME B16.5 and B16.47, form butt weld elbows and tees to ASME B16.9, and supply matching seamless pipe, all from the same heat where required so that the whole spool carries one set of mechanical properties.
